INFORMATION FOR GRANT SEEKERS

We appreciate your interest in submitting a proposal to the Donald D. Hammill Foundation. Because the Foundation receives funding requests far in excess of our ability to fund, only a small portion of requests can be approved. A decision not to fund does not reflect on the merits of the requesting organization or the value of the proposal. Please read the material presented here carefully to determine if your proposal is appropriate for the Foundation's consideration.

General Guidelines

Generally, the foundation does not support:

Generally, priority is given to proposals that provide basic needs for individuals with disabilities, the aged, or individuals who are financially disadvantaged.

Proposal deadline: March 15. If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, proposals are due the first business day after March 15. The Foundation acknowledges receipt of all proposals. If you have not received an acknowledgment within four weeks, please feel free to contact us to be certain your proposal was received.

Proposal review schedule: The Foundation's trustees make decisions on proposals in May of each year. Decisions are generally mailed to all applicants by early June.

Any discussion or indication of interest prior to or after submission of a written application or site visit should not be construed as a commitment by the Foundation. The Trustees will consider each application on its own merit, and notification of Trustee approval or declination is always made in writing to an organization. The action of the Trustees on an application is final.
